New Delhi: Among the forthcoming South Korean original thriller series on Netflix, The Bequeathed is set to premiere next. Revealing secrets, unsettling rituals, masked individuals, and killings make up the show's fascinating and sinister concept. The Bequeathed is based on a popular webtoon by Kang Tae Kyung and was co-written by Yeon Sang-Ho (known for Hellbound and Train to Busan), Hwang Eun Young, and series director Min Hong Nam. Plot Synopsis The protagonist, Yoon Seo Ha, is beset with grief after her uncle dies and leaves her at the family graveyard. The complex's perilous situation becomes even worse when her half-brother, Kim Young Ho, shows up out of the blue. While she is grieving, Young Ho contacts her to lay claim to an inheritance portion. This sets in motion a chain reaction of dark events, including sophisticated deaths. Trailer The narrative revolves around the protagonist Yoon Seo Ha's family burial place, as seen in the previous trailer. While attending the burial, a bewildered and distraught Seo Ha is confronted with yet another unexpected turn of events. As the investigation continues, the cloud over her uncle's death and the burial site starts to lift, adding to the mystery. The fate of the burial grounds hangs in the balance as detectives Choi Seong Jun and Park Sang Min dash against the clock to uncover the truth and apprehend the killer. Release Date and Platform It is anticipated that The Bequeathed will be available on Netflix on January 19, 2024. Min Ho Nam, who is making his directorial debut to collaborate with Yeon Sang-Ho, also contributes to the series' creation. The Bequeathed features Kim Hyun Joo as Yoon Seo Ha, Park Hee Soon as Detective Choi Seong Jun, Ryu Kyung Soo as Kim Young Ho, the half-brother, and Park Byung Eun as Officer Park Sang Min. Shin Bok Sook, Park Sung Hoon, and Hyun Bong Sik are among the other members of the supporting cast.
