‘The Black Phone’ on OTT: Check when and where to watch Ethan Hawke’s horror film

The film stars Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw in the lead along with Hawke.

New Delhi: Ethan Hawke’s ‘The Black Phone’ has been released on OTT after releasing in 2021 in the cinemas. Directed by Scott Derrickson, the film is adapted from a short story written by Joe Hill. The horror drama has impressed the audience and the critics.

The story revolves around a 13-year-old boy who after being abducted by a child killer and locked in a soundproof basement, starts receiving calls on a disconnected phone from the killer’s previous victims. The victims are dead-set to make sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney. The film stars Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw in the lead along with Hawke. The film also features Jeremy Davies, E. Roger Mitchell, Miguel Czarez Mora, Rebecca Clarke and others.

The film is written by director Scott Derrickson, along with C Robert Cargill. The music in the film is composed by Mark Korven, who is known for his work in ‘The Lighthouse’. The cinematography is done by Brett Jutkiewicz, who went on to do the camera work for ‘Scream’ and ‘Stranger Things’.

The film was released on Amazon Prime Video on August 7. ‘The Black Phone’ is released in English and has not been dubbed into other languages.
