The Eternaut OTT Release: Netflix is set to premiere its highly anticipated Argentine sci-fi drama series, The Eternaut, on April 30, 2025.

This six-episode adaptation brings to life the iconic 1957 graphic novel “El Eternauta” by Héctor Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano López, a cornerstone of Latin American science fiction.

Plot

On an otherwise ordinary summer night in Buenos Aires, an inexplicable and deadly phenomenon unfolds—a strange, toxic snowfall begins to blanket the city. Within moments, anyone exposed to the mysterious flakes collapses lifeless, their bodies frozen in eerie stillness. Panic spreads as the once-bustling metropolis turns into a silent graveyard, with streets littered with the fallen. The few who remain unscathed find themselves trapped in their homes, watching helplessly as the snowfall continues its merciless onslaught.

Among the survivors is Juan Salvo, played by the renowned Ricardo Darín, an everyday man who suddenly finds himself thrust into an unimaginable nightmare. As he scrambles to protect his family, Juan quickly realizes that what at first seemed like a natural disaster is something far more sinister. The lethal snowfall is not an accident of nature—it is the first wave of an alien invasion.

With civilization collapsing around him, Juan gathers a small group of survivors, each struggling to comprehend the horrifying reality they now face. Together, they set out to navigate the perilous and desolate city, searching for shelter, supplies, and answers. As they move through the ruins of Buenos Aires, they soon come to an even more terrifying realization: the extraterrestrial forces behind the attack are not merely watching from afar—they are already among them.
