New Delhi: On May 24, 2024, at ODEON, everyone’s favourite chubby cat will make a triumphant return to theatres. It has been what seems like a while since we last saw Garfield. Garfield 2024 brings the gourmet furball back to his animated beginnings, making the live-action animation alive again.
Mark Dindal and David Reynolds’s The Garfield Movie, set to be released in 2024, is sure to be a highly anticipated animated feature. The time for a film starring this beloved figure has long since come.
Plot
The snarky, food-obsessed, and generally lazy Garfield is well-known to everybody. The eponymous character, Garfield, is the centre of The Garfield Movie, which follows his adoption by a kind young man who loves him despite his eccentricities when he is abandoned when he is a child.
Garfield and his canine companion Odie are compelled to leave their wonderfully pampered existence to accompany Vic on an exciting heist. This occurs following Garfield’s surprise meeting with his long-lost father, Vic, a ragged alley cat.
When Garfield is reunited with his father, his ideal existence takes a turn for the worse. Things go from bad to worse as soon as the villain enters Garfield’s idyllic world.
Cast
Voices from some of Hollywood’s most famous actors and actresses may be heard in The Garfield Movie. The voice actor Chris Pratt plays the lead role of Garfield.
Brett Goldstein, Nicholas Hoult, Samuel L. Jackson, Ving Rhames, Gregg Berger, Hannah Waddingham, and Snoop Dogg are among the other cast members who will be lending their voices in The Garfield Movie.

More
It has been 18 years since the last Garfield feature hit theatres, and now the secret is out again. The story of the iconic huge orange tabby cat, which began as a comic strip in 1976 and has since gone global, is making a triumphant return to theatres with an all-star voice cast in a brand new reimagining.
However, if the makers of The Garfield Movie had just played to their strengths, they might have made a more engaging and original picture. On the contrary, it devolves into a jumble of subplots and asides, making even Garfield pause before devouring it.
#TheGarfieldMovie REVIEW: Delightful & charming! Filled to the brim with satire fun. Chris Pratt truly honors the legacy. You’ll roar with laughter & have a puss-pounding good time. Not just another cartoon, it’s the best Garfield movie ever! A fitting end setting up what’s next. pic.twitter.com/J4Pb8q2Gkt

The director of Cats Don’t Dance and The Emperor’s New Groove returns with his first film in almost twenty years featuring the famous Monday-hating cat that’s no doubt silly, but it’s one I had fun with. Anyway, here’s my review of The Garfield Movie. Link in the post below. pic.twitter.com/r6HvHF25O6

The Garfield Movie is a solid family film that while hindered by Pratt, benefits from a supporting voice cast that puts in the work. Thanks to them the jokes and heart land for an entertaining time.
