Ever since its trailer was launched, The Kerela Story has found itself slathered in a tug-of-war of political parties. And the controversies just gained pace after it was released in theaters on May 5.

Although getting mixed responses from critics, the Kerela Story was heavily backed up by the audiences. While the movie was banned in states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, it was declared tax-free in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

However, neither of the two affected its performance at the theaters.

However, after the filmmakers couldn’t substantiate the claims, it was later changed to 3 women.

In Sudipto Sen’s political drama, Adah Sharma plays the lead role of a Hindu student, who is influenced by terrorist organizations.
