New Delhi: The recently released Hollywood movie “The Little Mermaid” has made a dazzling appearance on the screen. Fans are left enthralled and captivated by the movie’s absolute aesthetic. It has made a blockbuster return with a projected $118 million earnings. Additionally, it has also been ranked fifth in the history of the Memorial Day box office.

After 35 years of its initial release, leaving the audience amazed with its animated flame-haired siren of the sea, the movie has once again made a splashing return to the big screen with a live action remake. Interestingly, the film took a huge hold on the box office after dominating the Memorial Day weekend. This Disney film is expected to make $118 million in its first four days, with $96 million coming in the first three days. This substantial earning marks the 5th highest opening in the history of Memorial Day.

The aesthetic movie captivated generations of the audience with its super fabulous scenes. After its 1988 release, people from the DVD era to online streaming all fell in love with Ariel and its animated shooting scenes.

Rob Marshall’s directed live-action “Little Mermaid” stars Halle Bailey as the title character Ariel and Melissa McCarthy as the evil sea witch Ursula. Awkwafina, Jacob Tremblay, Daveed Diggs, Javier Bardem, and others make up the film’s ensemble cast. Ariel’s underwater world’s spectacular aesthetics necessitated a significant amount of CGI, which brought the ocean to life.
