The Red Virgin OTT Release: The Spanish drama film ‘The Red Virgin’ is all set to hit the streaming sites on 5th December on Amazon Prime Video. The film was released in theaters on 27th September 2024.
Plot
The story of the thriller drama follows the life of a woman and her relationship with her daughter. The woman gives birth to a girl and homeschools her and raises her all by herself. She wanted her to become the most brilliant minds in Spain during that time.
The mother used to keep her daughter in a tight grip and told her to only focus on her career and education as she has to become something in life. The film was set in the backdrop of Madrid during the 1930s.
When the daughter turns 16, the mother takes her to a publishing house and asks her daughter to convince the editor that she wants to write about Women’s Sexuality and that she should be given a chance to try her skills.
The girl is also introduced to a Social Activist who is also impressed by her. The mother keeps her daughter away from all the other things in life. She keeps an eye on who she talks and meets.
However, one day the girl delivers an amazing speech during an event and wins the hearts of many people who came to attend the event. Meanwhile, her life takes a dramatic turn when she meets a guy and develops feelings for him.
As the two of them confess their feelings for each other, the girl’s mother hears their conversation from behind and makes a plan to separate them.
