New Delhi: Kate Winslet’s much anticipated upcoming political starie series The Regime is all set to entertain the fans by gracing multiple OTT platforms in the coming month.

After successfully raking in the audience’s attention with its intriguing teasers released last year (On April 12 & December 20), the makers, on 8 Feb, have already soared up The miniseries buzz amongst the masses by dropping its official trailer on social media.  Fans’ are now eagerly looking forward to the premier of the HBO original series & everything you should know about the same.

The Regime is set to arrive on multiple digital platforms next month. While the political series will stream on HBO & Max for international fans on March 3rd, 2024, it will also become available for Indian users just a day after (4th March) on the OTT platform Jio Cinema. However, to enjoy the Kate Winslet starrer entertainer on Jio Cinema, a premium subscription to their service will be required.

The Regime Story

Helmed by collaborating acclaimed directors Stephen Frears & Jessica Hobbs, The Regime is a political series set in a fictional country in Europe. Its story circles around the life of a paranoid but power-hungry female Chancellor Elena Verham (played by Kate Winslet) whose reckless authoritarian regime & sycophantic behavior rupture the political dynamics of her country and the palace.

However, determined to put an end to the country’s internal disorder and show the worth of her nation to the world, she ends up joining forces with a soldier Corporal Herbert Zubak (Played by Matthias Schoenaerts ) & things change forever.

Cast & Production

Besides Matthias Schoenaerts & Kate Winslet in the lead roles, the political miniseries also features  Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, Guillaume Gallienne, and Hugh Grant in its stellar cast. It is written & produced by Will Tracy and is set to be released under the banner of HBO Entertainment.
