The Rig Season 2 OTT Release Date: The upcoming season of Iain Glen and Emily Hampshire’s acclaimed British series The Rig is soon going to land on the digital screens.
Following the success of its 2023 release season 1, the thriller series, created by David Macpherson has been renewed for a fresh season which will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on January 2nd, 2025, allowing the viewers to enjoy it right from their comfort zones. The cabin & crew members of Kinloch Bravo oil rig, which is situated in Scotland’s North Sea. faces a nightmarish situation when a mysterious cloud of fog encircles their ship all of a sudden.
In no time, the fog causes the ship’s communication system to malfunction and eventually, it also begins to affect the mental health of the crew, triggering notable changes in their behavior and personality.
What happens next and how the members of the crew join forces to get out of this threatening situation is the remaining story of the movie.
Cast and Production
The star cast of The Rig, in addition to Emily and Iain, also features Martin Compston, Mark Bonnar, Rochenda Sandall, Calvin Demba, Abraham Popoola, Molly Vevers, Mark Addy, and Nikhil Parmar amongst others in pivotal roles.
