New Delhi: Hoa Xu ande’s eagerly anticipated mini-drama The Sympathizer is nearing its premier & fans are going gaga about the same.
Crafted by Park Chan-wook and Don McKellar, the web series is allegedly based on acclaimed award-winning American novelist Viet Thanh Nguyen who has received several prestigious prizes for his exceptional writing work.

On April 2024, the Sympathizer will start streaming on HBO where fans will get to enjoy it from the comfort of home.
For Indian users, the black comedy drama will premiere on Jio Cinema where it will be accessible to users with a basic subscription to the platform’s services.
The Sympathizer Plot
Narrating the tale of a mixed-race Vietnamese caption (played by Hoa Xuande), The Sympathizers shows how a South Vietnamese army veteran enters Los Angeles (United States) to seek refuge in the country during the conclusive days of the Vietnam War.
However, his loyalties never shift and he stays in touch with the pro-communist powers back in Vietnam, providing them several confidential information as a spy every then and now.
Production and Cast
The Sympathizer is helmed by famed Spoth Korean director park-Chan-Wook who is renowned for his work in iconic flicks like Decision to Leave, Old Boy & more.
The firm’s star ensemble cast sees Hoa Xu in the lead roles while featuring other skilled actors like Robert Downey, Toan Le, Alan Trong, and Duy Nguyen amongst others in other pivotal roles.
