Thelma OTT Release: The upcoming American Comedy drama film premiered on January 18 at the Sundance Film Festival and was released in theaters on June 21st, 2024. The film is currently streaming on OTT. Plot The show's story follows the life of an old woman named 'Thelma' who has no one apart from a grandson who takes care of her. He used to visit her sometimes and they used to spend time with each other. However, her grandson is not a responsible guy, but he is always there when it comes to taking care of his grandmother. Things soon take a dramatic turn when some scammer calls Therma for the protection of her grandson. He tells her that he got arrested and needs money around 10,000 dollars. She sends the money to a local address but later finds out that she has been scammed. Thelma approaches the cops but gets no help from anyone, She then decides to evade her family and find the scammer on her own. She tries to contact her old friends for help but finds out most of them have either died or moved away. Meanwhile, she comes across a man whom she knew as a neighbor but they never talked much, and now he is a widower. She tells him everything and says she needs his help. However, on the other hand, as she is busy finding the truth about the scammer with Ben, her grandson is worried about her and thinks she is missing and begins to look for her. Thelma is busy looking for the scammer and is adamant to find him anyhow. How things take a turn, comes in the later part of the show.
