New Delhi: Although Bollywood and Hollywood are flooding the OTT platforms with new releases, the South Indian film industry is not behind. This week can be called a happy week for all the South Indian movie fans out there because, in two to three days, quite a number of Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada movies are going to stream online.
In spite of sitting ideal with a bored face, check out some of the exciting South Indian releases that will be streaming on OTT platforms:
1. Etharkkum Thunindhavan – Netflix
Written and directed by Pandiraj, the Tamil action thriller will be making an OTT release on April 7. The movie made a theatrical release on March 10. The movie stars Suriya and Priyanka Mohan in mail roles, along with Sathyaraj Soori, Saran, Vinay, Saranya Ponvannan, and Ilavarasu in crucial roles.
2. Ek Love Ya – Zee5
The Kannada revolves around the story of Aman, an aspiring lawyer who indulges in drunkenness and debauchery after experiencing a heartbreak by his classmate, Anitha. However, just when he was getting on track, things take a turn and put him in the middle of proving his love was real. The movie stars Raana, Reeshma, Charan Raj, Shahshi Kumar among others in pivotal roles. The movie will be releasing on April 8.
3. Naradhan – Amazon Prime
Naradhan is a Malayam political movie that is set to release on April 8. Directed by Aashiq Abu, the movie stars Tovino Thomas and Anna Ben in lead roles. The plot revolves around Chandraprakash who works as a journalist at Newstrack channel experiences some pressure when asked to fabricate stories from his bosses, which makes him question his own ethics and principles.
4. Stand Up Rahul – Aha Video
The Telugu comedy caper is all set to stream from April 8. The movie revolves around a stand-up comic, played by Raj Tharun. Apart from Tharun, the movie features Varsha Bollamma, Indraja, and others in important roles. The film is directed by Santo.
5. Taanakkaran – DisneyHotstar
Directed by Tamizh, the movie Taanakkaran revolves around difficulties faced by young police trainees. Vikram Prabhu will be playing a pivotal role along with Anjali Nair, MS Bhaskar, and Anbarasan. Initially, the movie was planned to be released in theatres. However, the makers decided to release the movie on OTT on April 8.
