This special follows Notaro’s 2021 HBO hour Tig Notaro: Drawn, the first completely animated stand-up special, and is directed by Notaro’s wife, Stephanie Allynne. Reportedly, it’s filled to the brim with hilariously embarrassing misunderstandings, touching and amusing family moments with her wife and children, and health crises turned comical.

Executive producers for Hello Again were Ally Engelberg, Marc Lieberman, Notaro, and Allynne; the film was produced by Above Average and Amazon MGM Studios.

About the Show

Hello Again comes on the heels of Drawn and two prior specials, Happy to Be Here (2018) and Boyish Girl Interrupted (2015).

The stand-up show promises riveting and touching family moments with his wife and children, as well as hilariously embarrassing misunderstandings and health worries.

Notaro encounters hilarious situations ranging from a bizarre meeting in Hollywood to hallucinating messages in various locations, including the Make Believe Lounge and the corridor outside her physical therapist’s office. A late-night meeting with a moustachioed firefighter causes her to reevaluate her life, which is used as material for her stand-up acts.

When and Where to Watch?

Notaro’s wife, Stephanie Allynne, is the director of the show Tig Notaro: Hello Again, which will make its premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 26, 2024, in more than 240 countries and territories across the world.

About Tig Notaro

One Mississippi, a semi-autobiographical comedy series that Notaro co-created and starred in for Amazon, received a Critics’ Choice Television Award and aired for two seasons. This was Notaro’s prior venture with the company.

She has her most recent acting roles in Season 3 of The Morning Show and Star Trek: Discovery. A few more recent projects include the following: Army of the Dead, Your Place or Mine, and We Have a Ghost, all of which are Netflix features.

Live is a comedy album in which Notaro dealt with her diagnosis of bilateral breast cancer—from which she has now gone into remission—in a darkly funny and therapeutic way—and for which she received Grammy nominations.
