Top OTT releases on Netflix, Zee5, SonyLIV, Hulu and Voot to binge watch this week

Below are the much-waited OTT releases premiering on Netflix, SonyLIV, Zee5 and others in the coming week.

New Delhi: Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, cinema theatres have been operating with restrictions and limitations. The audiences have chosen an alternative, that is, OTT platforms. Besides, the platforms never failed to satisfy the hunger for watching movies, web series, and shows by creating out-of-the-box content of different genres.

The audience has witnessed several big names from the Indian film industry making their OTT debuts in the past few years. In this week that is from February 21 to 27, OTT platforms will see major releases.

Have a look at the New Releases: 

1. Race: Bubba Wallace – Netflix

This is a docuseries focusing on the journey of the only Black driver in NASCAR’s top series. The docuseries focuses on how the death of George Floyd changed his life and he dedicated the 2020 season with a “Black Lives Matter” – themed car and suggested that NASCAR ban the Confederate flag at its events. The docuseries will premiere on February 22.

2. The Fame Game – Netflix

Madhuri Dixit Nene will be making her OTT debut with the web series The Fame Game. Releasing on February 25, Madhuri will be seen playing the role of a famous actor named Anamika Anand, who goes missing. As police investigate her abduction, her perfect façade that she maintained fades away slowly. The series features Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Muskaan Jaferi, Lakshvir Saran, and Suhasini Muley apart from Madhuri.

3. Bachelor – SonyLIV

Directed by Sathis Selvakumar, the Tamil romance thriller is based on a true story of a live-in relationship. The movie stars GV Prakash Kumar and Divya Bharathi in the lead roles. The movie made a worldwide release on December 3, 2021, on SonyLiv and is produced by G. Dillibabu, under the banner of Axess Film Industry.

4. Love Hostel – Zee 5

Love Hostel is a crime thriller releasing on February 25. The film is directed by Shanker Raman and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films. The film focuses on intercaste marriages and honour killing. It revolves around the journey of young couple Ashu (Vikrant Massey) and Jyoti (Sanya Malhotra) and their narrow escape from deadly mercenary played by Bobby Deol who is hired by Jyoti’s family to bring her back.

5. No Exit – Hulu

The thriller is based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Taylor Adams, which focuses on a young woman named Darby getting caught up in a blizzard and forced to find shelter in a highway rest area with a group of strangers. The thriller will be releasing on February 25.

6. Super Pumped – Voot

The series is an anthology drama series adapted from the 2019 non-fiction book of the same name by Mike Issac. The first season, subtitled The Battle For Uber is based on the journey of former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The series also features Kyle Chandler and Elisabeth Shue in pivotal roles. The series will be releasing on February 28.
