Tourist Family OTT Release Date: After successfully emerging as a major hit at the Box Office, M Sasikumar and Simran’s Tourist Family is ready to test its luck on the OTT screens.
From May 31st, 2025, the emotional Tamil drama will reportedly make its long-awaited digital premiere on JioHotstar, which earlier bagged the movie’s streaming rights at a fancy price. However, an official word on the same is yet to be made by filmmakers.
Tourist Family at the Box Office
Amid massive fan frenzy and decent hype, Tourist Family made its way to the big screens earlier this year on April 29th (India) and May 1st (Worldwide).
Prepared with a small Rs 14 crore budget, the Abishan Jeevinth directorial kick-started its theatrical journey by amassing a decent total of Rs 2 crore on its day 1 itself. Gradually, the movie picked up its pace, witnessing a considerable spike in its collection over the weekend.
Riding high on rave reviews and positive fan reception, the comedy drama then continued to pull a decent number of fans to the theaters, taking its collections at a thumping Rs 51 crores (Worldwide) before finally concluding its Box office journey as a bumper hit. Now, it will be interesting to see how the film fares with the fans on the OTT screens in the days to come.
Cast and Production
Since OTT platforms now decide releases based on streaming slots, and we’ve locked #TouristFamily for streaming at the end of May, we had no choice but to release it on May 1st.

In addition to M Sasikumar and Simran, Tourist Family also features several other skilled actors, including Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, Yogi Babu, M. S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel and Sreeja Ravi in its star cast. The film is bankrolled by Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian and Yuvaraj Ganesan under the banner of Million Dollar Studios MRP Entertainment.
