Trisha Krishnan starrer ‘Raangi’ to release on OTT platforms on January 29!

Tamil action thriller Raangi is all set to release on OTT platforms from January 29th onwards. Netflix acquiring the post-theatrical digital rights will have its release on January 29th following which the film will be available on SunNXT from January 30th onwards. Directed by M. Saravanan, Raangi features the Tamil star, Trisha Krishnan.

After mixed reviews after its theatrical release on 30th December 2022 OTT is known to give films a second life. People’s reaction to Raangi after its OTT release is one to look forward to as it reaches a wider majority of viewers. The story of Raangi revolves around Trisha’s character who takes on the role of a reporter in an online news channel. The plot thickens as she tries to rescue her niece from the trap of a teenage militant based in Tunisia.

Trisha Krishnan was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: 1 in September 2022 which went on to become the highest-grossing Tamil film last year. Having her in the film already increases the curiosity around the film. Written by Saravanan and AR Murugadoss with music composed by C. Sathya, the film also stars Anaswara Rajan and Bekzod Abdumalikov. This is the third project of Saravanan and Sathya collaborating after the Tamil films ‘Engeyum Eppothum’ and ‘Ivan Veramathiri’.

Trisha’s future films include the sequel of the Tamil blockbuster, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: 2 and also an upcoming film with director Lokesh Kanagaraj called ‘Thalapathy 67’ starring the megastar Vijay Thalapathy.
