True Lover OTT Release: When & where to watch Manikandan starrer rom-com after its theatrical run

New Delhi: After generating much buzz amongst the fans, superstar Manikandan’s latest rom-com Lover finally made it to the big screens on 9 February 2024 (Tamil) & 11 February 2024 (Telugu).

In both languages, the movie witnessed an impressive start at the Box Office, amassing over Rs 1.8 crore by the conclusion of its first two days in the theaters.

Industry experts are now estimating that the Sri Gouri Priya starrer will continue its impressive theatrical run at least for the next few days & rake in some handsome money from the ticket window.

Meanwhile, with ‘The Lover’ doing decent business in the cinemas, fans are also getting eager to know about its OTT release & here’s everything we know about the same.

As per the latest reports, Disney Star has bagged the digital rights of Manikandan’s flick for a considerable amount of money. This means that after the conclusion of its BO journey, it will start streaming on digital Platform Disney + Hotstar.

Besides this, the rom-com is also expected to arrive on the TV channel Star Maa which will broadcast it a few months after its OTT release. However, the exact date of True Lover’s digital or television debut is yet to be unveiled by its makers.

True Lover is the tale of two collage-time lovers Arun (Manikandan) and Divya (Sri Gouri Priya) whose 6-year-long strong relationship starts to fall apart due to the former’s possessive & arrogant behavior toward the latter.

As if things were already not bad enough, the duo’s relationship suffers yet another major blow when Arun takes up a job on Divya’s insistence but the same goes south & leaves him with nothing but failure and frustration.

Following that, he starts to find reasons to fight with Divya over one or another thing & the same causes a sudden spike in their relationship issues. What happens next & how they solve their problems together is the remaining part of the movie.

Helmed by Prabhuram Vyas, True Lover, in its stellar cast, features several skilled actors including Kanna Ravi, Saravanan Geetha Kailasam, and Harish Kumar in key roles. It is produced by Yuvaraj Ganesan and was released under the banner of Million Dollar Studios and
MRP Entertainment on 9 February 2024.
