Tunisha Sharma’s last rites held in Mumbai, co-stars arrive to pay condolences

Her body was brought from JJ Hospital to the mortuary of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Hospital and the ambulance arrived to take her mortal remains to the crematorium. 

New Delhi: The last rites of TV actor Tunisha Sharma, who allegedly committed suicide on the sets of a TV serial, are being held on December 27 in Mira Road in Mumbai. Her body was brought from JJ Hospital to the mortuary of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Hospital and the ambulance arrived to take her mortal remains to the crematorium.

The 21-year-old actor’s cremation will take place at Mira Road cremation ground. Her family issued a statement and invited people to come and offer their last prayers to the Tunisha’s soul. TV actors and her co-stars Shivin Narang, Vishal Jethwa, Kanwar Dhillon, and others arrived at her residence for the last rites.

The sister and mother of prime accused Sheezan Khan also arrived at the crematorium ground.

Tunisha Sharma was found dead on the sets and according to Waliv Police, the actor went to the toilet and did not come back. The police broke the door open and found that she had hanged herself, while no suicide note was recovered at the spot. Tunisha’s mother accused Sheezan Khan, the prime suspect in the case, of cheating on her daughter and breaking his promise to marry her.

A court in Vasai sent actor Sheezan Khan to police custody for four days when Waliv police produced Khan in the court after his arrest for abetment to suicide. The police has registered a case against him under Section 306 of the IPC. The police are now investigating the reason behind her alleged suicide. Both Tunisha and Sheezan’s mobile phones are sent to the forensic lab.
