New Delhi: Popular television actor Nupur Alankar renounced the industry after working for around three decades. She is seen visiting various pilgrimage sites and is now headed to the Himalayas. The actor took ‘sanyas’ from the television business to follow her spiritual path.

In February, talking to ETimes, she stated that she was always inclined towards spiritualism and had been following ‘adhyatm’, she has now devoted herself completely to it. Quitting showbiz was a big step for her, she told. Now she is heading towards the Himlayas to uplift and accelerate her journey. The former actor has rented her flat in Mumbai to take care of her travel expenses.

Following her path, she ended her marriage with actor Alankar Srivastava, though the couple has not yet separated legally. She said that her husband has freed her to follow the spiritual path.

Talking about her life now as compared to back then when she was a part of the industry, she said, “When I was a part of showbiz, I worried about popularity and success. Today, I am at peace.” Nupur also mentioned that there was no place for ‘drama’ in her life.
