UI OTT Release Date: Upendra and Reeshma Nanaiah’s Kannada movie UI was released in theaters on December 20th, 2024. Written and directed by Upendra himself, the Sci-fi flick received a moderate reception from the fans but unfortunately failed to do well at the Box Office.

The dystopian drama ended its theatrical run with a lukewarm collection of Rs 47 crore, leaving its makers defeated and disappointed. Neverthless, regardless of UI’s failure to achieve commercial success on the big screens, the film’s buzz amongst Upendra’s fans have remained intact as they are now waiting for it to premier on OTT with bated breath.

If the latest reports are anything to go by, Zee Network has purchased the digital rights of UI after creating a successful deal with its makers. This suggests that in the coming days, the action-packed film might make its OTT debut on Zee5, allowing the fans to enjoy it right from the comfort of their homes. However, it is important to mention here that an official confirmation about the film’s OTT release date or platform is yet to be made by its makers.

Cast and Production of the Movie

Starring Upendra in a triple role, UI, in its main cast features an ensemble of stars like Reeshma Nanaiah, Nidhi Subbaiah, Murali Sharma, Sadhu Kokila, and Indrajit Lankesh essaying key characters.

G. Manoharan, in association with Sreekanth K. P., and Bhaumik Gondaliya, has bankrolled the film under the banner of Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers.
