New Delhi: Adding to its impressive collection of quality dramas and movies, streaming behemoth Netflix has acquired yet another suspenseful Japanese drama. After the highly anticipated crime thriller City Hunter, Netflix is now preparing to release the 2018 Japanese drama Unnatural.
Investigations into weird or unexplained deaths provide the plot with tension and terrifying undertones. Misumi Mikoto, played by Ishihara Satomi, is a forensic doctor who works for the Unnatural Death Investigation Laboratory.
Forensic science, intrigue, and suspense fill each episode of this 10-episode series. With each new episode comes a strange situation and maybe some good news for the remaining members.

Story Synopsis
On the medical mystery series Unnatural, viewers experience a shift in perspective as they face the impending loss of a loved one. The setting of the Unnatural Death Institute (UDI) is a mystery, and the human drama inside it is thrilling and mysterious.
A young man’s corpse is brought into the UDI lab one day; his death is determined to have been caused by ischemic heart disease. However, medical investigator Misumi Mikoto is asked by the victim’s parents, who are confused by the unusual circumstances surrounding their son’s death, to determine the root cause. While investigating the man’s corpse for signs of drug poisoning, Yuko Shoji, her lab technician partner, and Rokuro, a rookie medical recorder, discover the unexpected death of the man’s female coworker.
As we see in the trailer, the forensic team is investigating a strange instance of a heart attack that raises suspicions of serial poisoning. To provide closure to families who have suffered a tragic loss, the detectives work together to investigate potential reasons.
Release Date and Platform
Two streaming services, Rakuten Viki and Netflix, will soon offer the Japanese drama Unnatural. The medical drama will premiere on Netflix on May 1, 2024, before it is released on Viki on May 19, 2024.

Cast
The lead role of Misumi Mikoto, a 33-year-old forensic investigator, is played by the talented Ishihara Satomi. Starring with Iura Arata as 41-year-old forensic doctor Nakado Kei is Kubota Masataka, who plays the role of Kube Rokuro, who helps Misumi with the enigmatic death cases. Shoji Yuko is a lab worker played by Ichikawa Mikako.
Tsukahara Ayuko, Takemura Kentaro, and Murao Yoshiaki are the directors while Nogi Akiko is the screenwriter of the exciting drama.
