Upcoming March Releases: From Gulmohar to Bheed, Check list of movies and shows lined up for this month

Here is a list of movies and series that one can enjoy throughout the month of March:

New Delhi: The audience will be treated to a number of intriguing movies and television shows in March. In the upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir Kapoor will make his long-awaited debut alongside Shraddha Kapoor. Speaking of firsts, the series Gulmohar, starring seasoned actress Sharmila Tagore, would be her OTT premiere. Together with the American psychological thriller You, viewers also have the period drama Taj: Divided by Blood in store for a binge-watch.

Here is a list of movies and series that one can enjoy throughout the month of March:

Gulmohar (Disney+ Hotstar)

Sharmila Tagore will make her screen debut in the sequence Gulmohar, alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Amol Palekar. On March 3, the multiple generations storyline will be available on Disney+ Hotstar.

Taj: Divided By Blood (Zee 5)

Taj: Divided by Blood is a period piece set in the 16th century during Akbar’s reign. It follows Akbar and his three sons, Salim, Murad, and Daniyal, as they fight for power. Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Dharmendra,  Rahul Bose, Zarina Wahab, Aditi Rao Hyddari, Sandhya Mridul, Taaha Shah, and Aashim Gulati this would broadcast on Zee 5 from March 3.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which has the feel of a classic Bollywood rom-com, will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor on the big screen for the first time. Luv Ranjan’s movie depicts a playboy who happens to find a difficult opponent in a woman. The movie will arrive in theatres on March 8.

You Season 4 Part 2 (Netflix)

The first half of the fourth season of the series You premiered on February 4, and the second half of the season will be available on Netflix on March 9. Penn Badgley, Charlotte Ritchie, Tati Gabrielle, and Tilly Keeper are among the cast members.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway marks Rani Mukerji’s return after a few years. In the movie, she plays the titular character. The movie depicts the true story of an Indian couple who shifted to Norway from Kolkata, only to have their children removed by Norwegian social services. The film, directed by Ashima Chibber, will be released on March 17.

Bheed

Anubhav Sinha’s next movie, Bheed, will rediscover the horrors of the Covid-19 disease outbreak and the 2020 lockdown. The movie, which stars Rajkummar Rao, Ashutosh Rana, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, and Pankaj Kapur among others, will be released in theatres on March 24.

Bholaa

Bholaa is the Hindi film adaptation of the widely praised Tamil hit Kaith’, directed by Ajay Devgn and starring him in the title role. Aside from Devgn, the movie also features Tabu, Sanjay Mishra, Amala Paul,  Deepak Dobriyal, and Gajraj Rao. The movie will be released in theatres on March 30.

Murder Mystery 2 (Netflix)

In Murder Mystery 2, detectives Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) and his wife Audrey (Jennifer Aniston) return with a whoop. The film franchise movie arrives four years after the achievement of the comedy mystery that compelled the duo to rely entirely on their detective skills after they were falsely accused of murdering an elderly billionaire. The sequel will be available on Netflix on March 31st.
