“The Freelancer” is a TV series adapted from Shirish Thorat’s book, “A Ticket to Syria,” published in 2017. The story follows Avinash Kamath, a former police officer who becomes a mercenary. He takes on a risky mission to rescue a young bride named Aliya, who is stuck in war-torn Syria amidst the rise of ISIS terrorism. The cast includes Mohit Raina, Anupam Kher, and Kashmira Pardeshi. The series is created and written by Neeraj Pandey, known for his work on espionage thrillers like “Special OPS” and “Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story.” You can stream it on Disney+ Hotstar starting from September 1st.

2. Scam 2003: The Telgi Story

A new TV show called “Scam 2003: The Telgi Story” is coming out on September 2nd. It’s like a follow-up to the popular show “Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story”. This new show is about a guy named Abdul Karim Telgi who made fake stamp papers and sold them to banks, insurance companies, and other big businesses. He and his friends got caught and went to jail for a long time. The show is based on a book called “Telgi: Ek Reporter ki Diary”. You can watch it on Sony LIV.

3. Friday Night Plan

In this coming-of-age comedy-drama, two brothers hatch a plan to attend a late-night party while their mom is away on business. As high schoolers, they embark on an eventful night that becomes transformative in unexpected ways.
