New Delhi: Dhanush is back with another action flick delivering a social message. ‘Vaathi’ was released in cinemas on February 17 and is getting a positive response from the audience. The film revolves around the themes of the right to education for everyone and stands against the privatisation of education leading to the poor being deprived of it.
The film stars Dhanush and Samyuktha in the lead roles, alongside Sai Kumar and Samuthirakani. ‘Vaathi’, which translates to ‘sir’ or ‘teacher’, is written and directed by Venky Atluri. The film shows Dhanush as a student who battles for the right to education and goes on to become a teacher.
Dhanush’s fans are loving the film and have already declared it a ‘blockbuster’.

GV Prakash Kumar composed the music for the film while the cinematography is done by J Yuvraj. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainment has co-produced the movie along with Sai Soujanya’s Fortune Four Cinemas, and ‘Vaathi’ is presented under the banners of Srikara Studios.
While delivering his message, Venky Atluri did not fail to impress fans with Dhanush’s iconic action sequences. Like his previous films, Dhanush is set to deliver another hit.
