Video: Ranbir Kapoor says ‘No’ to Ganpati Pooja’s prasad, netizen reacts

Meanwhile, Ranbir and his spouse Alia Bhatt celebrated the first birthday of their daughter Raha with an intimate party attended by their close friends, family members, and a number of celebrities

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is all set for the release of his upcoming magnum opus Animal which will make it to the big screens on 1 December 2023.

In the film, Ranbir will star as lead actor alongside renowned South Indian actress Rashmika Mandhana while iconic actors like Anil Kapoor and Bobby Doel will be seen in other important roles.

Recently, a controversial video of the actor has been making rounds on the internet in which he is seen denying prasad of Lord Ganesha.

Check it out here:

In the viral video shared by Swati Bellam, the Rockstar actor sporting a dark navy shirt paired with a cool cap, is seen exiting after offering his prayers to Lord Ganesha in the T-series office.

As he ends his prayers and begins to exit the office promises, a priest stops him and offers him a container of Prasad. However, the superstar gently refuses to accept the same and mentions that he is currently on a diet.

He then takes the prasad’s box from the pandit and hands it over to someone else saying “mai diet pe hu aap log kha loge”? (I am on a diel can one of you have it instead?).

It is important to note here that even though the video is lately going viral, it is not a recent one and was shared over a month back.

Internet rages at Ranbir for denying Prasad

The actor’s refusal to take Prasad is now drawing criticism from his fans who are condemning him for his actions in the comment section of the video.

Speaking on the same, one user penned, “RK is playing Ram? April fool’s joke hai kya Swathiji.” Another one adds, “Looks very confused…He didn’t know what he was doing and why he was doing it?”

“Then when a film fails … do all those dramas in Siddhi Vinayak temple”, wrote a third one.
