Vilangu to Hridayam: Top regional releases on OTT in mid-February

Amazon Prime, Disney+Hotstar, Zee 5 will see a lot of regional releases coming on their platforms in mid-February

New Delhi: We are approaching the third week of February and we have some great releases coming through our way. Although owing to the Covid-19 pandemic release of movies in the theatres was halted, the directors and makers found their way of portraying their stories through OTT platforms.

Amazon Prime, Disney+Hotstar, Zee 5 will see a lot of regional releases coming on their platforms. Binge-watches can’t keep themselves calm and are eagerly waiting for the releases.

Let’s check out the list here:

1. Vilangu – Zee5

A Tamil drama featuring Vemal playing the role of a cop, who is on a mission to investigate a mysterious crime. Directed by Prashanth Pandiyaraj, the movie will be the OTT debut for Vemal. In an interview, Prashanth said, “We are so used to seeing police stories set in cities. However, in Vilangu, we will see how a police officer from a rural backdrop solves a mysterious crime in Trichy.” The movie will stream on February 18.

2. Rawkto Bilaap – Hoichoi

The web series will be premiering on February 18. The Bengali movie focuses on the reunion of friends who visited an empty old-haunted house where they start playing an unnatural game that turns into death. The movie is directed by Arnit Chetry and Monideep Saha and stars actors like Sohini Sarkar, Saptarshi Maulik, Tuhina Das, Gourab Roy Chowdhury, and more in pivotal roles.

3. Family Pack – Amazon Prime

Directed by Arjun Kumar S and backed by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar under the PRK Production banner, Family Pack will be released on February 17. The movie revolves around a boy who has lost all hopes and will to live and gets encountered with a ghost who gives him a new outlook. Things get complicated when the ghost realizes that their lives and destinies are intertwined on deeper levels.

4. Hridayam – Disney+Hotstar

A Mollywood film directed and written by Vineeth Sreenivasan stars Pranav Mohanlal, Darshana Rajendran, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. The story focus on the emotional journey of Arun, his carefree bachelor days in Engineering days, and how he matures through various phases of life. The movie will premiere on February 18.
