New Delhi: The much-anticipated film ‘Vimanam’ is set to capture hearts with its poignant narrative of a father-son duo led by acclaimed actor Samuthirakani. Directed by Siva Prasad Yanala, the heartwarming tale premiered on Zee5 on June 30, offering audiences an emotional journey filled with dreams and love.

Initially released in theaters on June 9, ‘Vimanam’ earned praise from critics for its touching storyline but faced challenges in achieving blockbuster success on the big screen. However, its OTT release in Zee5 has reached a wider audience and created a stronger impact.

Joining Samuthirakani in the lead is the talented Anasuya Bharadwaj, along with a stellar supporting cast including Dhruvan Varma, Meera Jasmine, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Dhanrai. The film revolves around the dreams of a young boy who aspires to travel on an aircraft. Born into a below-middle-class family, the boy’s father tirelessly strives to make his son’s dream a reality.

Penned by director Siva Prasad Yanala, ‘Vimanam’ is produced under the banners of Kiran Korrapati Create Works and Zee Studio. The film boasts captivating cinematography by Vivek Kalepu and thoughtful editing by Marthand Venkatesh. Charan Arjun composed the music, adding to the film’s emotional depth.

The teaser released in June provided a glimpse into the boy’s fascination with airplanes and his quest to understand their inner workings. Fueled by curiosity, he embarks on a journey to meet his late mother in the heavens, envisioning a flight as the means to reach her.
