Viral: Apple Fan brings computer from 1984 at the mega store launch in Mumbai

The grand opening took place around 11 AM. But people were seen swarming the grand launch site hours before. “I have been standing here from 6 AM,” said an Apple fan.

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Global Tech biggie Apple launched its first megastore at the Kurla Complex area in Mumbai’s Bandra. Since this became the very first Apple retail store in the entire country, Indian Apple fans seemed on cloud nine.

Interestingly, people gathered and made long queues outside the retail hours and waited for several hours to witness its grand opening.

However, what grabbed everyone’s attention was a 39-year-old vintage computer. It was brought to the store venue by an Apple fan who claimed that he purchased it in 1984.

The man said that his purpose in bringing the vintage computer to the grand opening was to show how far Apple has come since then. Talking about features of the 1984 computer, he said that it has just 2 megabytes of resolution while today’s Apple has ascended to making 4k and 8k resolution.

The man got the opportunity to show the black and white computer to Apple CEO Tim Cook and the latter was also left astonished.

The die-hard fan admitted that he is using Apple products since then.

The grand opening took place around 11 AM. But people were seen swarming the grand launch site hours before. “I have been standing here from 6 AM,” said an Apple fan.

In fact, some people said that Apple should open one more store in Mumbai since it’s a huge city.

However, the second Apple retail store in India will be opened in Delhi on the 20th of April, 2023.

This will be marking Apple’s 25 years in India. The retail stores, as per the company, are opened to expand Tech Giant’s business in the country.
