New Delhi: Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar recently treated his fans by announcing that veteran actor Sanjay Dutt has begun shooting for his much-awaited upcoming comedy flick Welcomed to the Jungle.
The actor also celebrated the 16th anniversary of the Welcome franchise’s first movie which was released on the same day back in 2007.
Taking to his Insta handle, Akshay, on Thursday, penned, “What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise’s third part Welcome To The Jungle. And it’s wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba to this one. What do you think?”

Along with his message, the actor also attached a video that features him horseriding with Sanjay Dutt following him closely riding on a motorcycle.
Welcome To The Jungle
For the unversed, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is the third installment of Akshay Kumar’s celebrated iconic franchise ‘Welcome’. The film’s shooting began earlier this month with the 54-year-old actor himself announcing its commencement by dropping an intriguing video from the sets of the movie.
The franchise’s first two movies ‘Welcome’ & ‘Welcome Back’, which were released in 2007 & 2015 respectively, performed exceptionally well at the BO and earned a special place in the hearts of the fans.
Sharing the hilarious clip from the film’s shoot Akshay wrote a caption that read, “Absolute madness of masti begins as we start the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle. Will need your wishes for this rollercoaster full of all things fun and crazy.”

In its stellar cast, the film features several acclaimed actors including Akshay Kumar, Tusshar Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez Paresh Rawal, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Kiku Sharda, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh in Key roles.
It is slated to hit the theaters on 20 December 2024 under the banner of Jio Studios & Base Industries Group.
