New Delhi: Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira has been released from the UAE's Sharjah jail today and made a video call to her family in Mumbai. Earlier this month, Pereira was arrested in the UAE after she was allegedly framed in a drugs case, said Officials. In a video which has been shared by Pereira's brother, Kevin Pereira, their mother can be seen jumping in excitement while she talks to her 27-year-old daughter on a video call after she was released from the Sharjah prison. The actress was arrested on April 1 at the Sharjah airport. Later, the Mumbai Crime Branch found that the actor was allegedly framed by a bakery owner in revenge after a fight over a dog. The Mumbai Police arrested two in framing actress Chrisann Pereira. The two accused has been identified Anthony Paul and Rajesh Bobhate. One is a bakery owner wile the otehr one is an assistant general manager in a bank. The police suspect that the actor was allegedly made a drug mule over the same issue. The actor was given a trophy in which he had hidden the drugs, the police said. Police also said thatearlier, Anthony and Rajesh have trapped at least five people in a similar way.
