New Delhi: Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant were greeted with a warm welcome during their visit to Jamnagar, Gujarat on July 16th, 2024.
This was also their first time stepping out after tying the knot. Women dressed in traditional sarees gave them a “swaagat” with showers of rose petals along with an Aarti being performed for them. In another video, it was seen that a roadway of petals was also laid to enhance their entrance during the welcome.

A bunch of other clips also surfaced online showing how the people of Jamnagar welcomed the couple with regard and hospitality. They show both Radhika and Anant with smiles on their faces and folded hands. The duo entered the locality in a car standing and greeting the public.
Both Anant and Radhika wore simple outfits with Radhika looking elegant in a pink suit and Anant complimenting her in a red kurta paired with an ethnic jacket.
In another video, sources showed how even the road outside the airport was lined with rose petals awaiting the newlyweds’ welcome. They were also greeted by a band, with drums beating to give them an excited and warm reception.

Ambanis and Jamnagar
Jamnagar holds a special place in both Ambanis’ and Merchant’s hearts as this is where Anant’s grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani was born. Jamnagar was also the place where his father and grandfather, Mukesh and Dirubhai Ambani respectively; started the origin for their business.
Radhika also shared with the media that she and Anant grew up in Jamnagar. “This is where we grew up, where we became friends, where we fell in love, and where we built our relationship. This place has become part of our fondest memories, our deepest secrets, our loudest laughs, and the happiest times that we’ve had together as a family,” as quoted by news agency ANI.
