New Delhi: First part of Ponniyin Selvan will be released in theatres on September 30 in five languages. The movie is directed by Mani Ratnam and is based on the same name as the popular Tamil novel, it is written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Karthi and Prakash Raj are playing the lead roles in the movie.
Music is composed by AR Rahman. Ponniyin Selvan movie is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Ravi Varman has done the cinematography and editing handled by Sreekar Prasad.
On August 19 Madras Talkie promoted the first look of the song ‘Chola Chola’.

A teaser of the song has been launched and the 26 seconds video has garnished 507,834 views, 39K likes and 865 reactions. The full song will be released by today 6 pm.
Chiyaan Vikram is playing Aditya Karikalan in the movie. This is the second song from the movie.
A few days back the first song of the movie Ponni Nadhi was released. The melody Ponni Nadhi magnifies the stream Cauvery (otherwise known as Ponni), which was the principal purpose for the thriving of the Chola realm.
