‘Wearing tight Khaki, a ton of makeup’: Vivek Agnihotri mocks Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Dahaad’

Next, he went on to target Sonakshi Sinha by pointing out that all you need to play a cop is a tight-fitted Khaki and wear tons of makeup.

New Delhi: Just a few days ago, Sonakshi Sinha entered the world of OTT entertainment with her crime thriller Dahaad on Amazon Prime. This time the Dabangg actress has stepped into the shoes of the police herself. It’s her against the mastermind serial killer played by Vijay Verma.

While Dahaad is getting good reviews from the viewers as well as the critics, director Vivek Agnihotri shared a long tweet mocking Sonakshi Sinha’s web series Dahaad.

Although the Kashmir Files director didn’t name anyone in his tweet, he made it obvious that he is not satisfied with the ‘unrealistic’ portrayal of Rajasthan in the crime thriller.

In his tweet, Vivek Agnihotri said that Bollywood actors use words like ‘Maharo’ and ‘Hukum’ and think they have become Rajasthani characters. He added that they deliver the rest of their dialogues in their Punjabi, Bambaiya, or Tamil accents.

Next, he went on to target Sonakshi Sinha by pointing out that all you need to play a cop is a tight-fitted Khaki and wear tons of makeup.

He added that in the climate of Rajasthan, wearing tons of makeup isn’t realistic.

Criticized Acting Skills

While the controversial director didn’t name the person he was aiming at with this point, he wrote that these actors speak dialogues at a very low volume and act dull and boring, thinking it’s cool.

He also criticized the usage of abusive words with Rajsthani catchphrases.

Lastly, he added that the “audience is not dumb” but these Bollywood actors are. He urged Bollywood to not fit Western inspirations into Rajasthan.
