New Delhi: Firoz Nadiadwala, the producer of the film Welcome 3 – Welcome to The Jungle, announced the film’s release date on Wednesday, after Arshad Warsi put an end to rumours by confirming Welcome 3 is in the works. The film is going to release on 2024 Christmas as per the announcement.

Akshay Kumar has been cast as the main lead in the film Welcome to the Jungle. The legendary Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai pair (played by Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor), reportedly won’t be returning for Welcome 3. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have taken their places.

Pinkvilla states that the team has decided on two female protagonists. The entertainment website claims to have confirmed that Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani would portray the female leads. Like previous entries in the series, this one will have a struggle that centres on the female protagonist. The plot will benefit from having both Jacqueline and Disha in it.

About Welcome Franchise
Both of Firoz Nadiadwala’s Welcome comedy film franchises – Welcome and Welcome Back, are well remembered. Anees Bazmee helmed the first two instalments of the Welcome franchise, while Welcome 3 is said to have Ahmed Khan at the direction. Additionally, the first Welcome film premiered on Christmas Day, 2007, and its sequel premiered in 2015; now the third sequel is going to premiere on 2024 Christmas.
