CarryMinati, whose real name is Ajey Nagar, was for in Faridabad. Always wanting to gain fame on YouTube, he began to upload game reaction videos just when he was 10 years old.

When he changed channel’s name from Ajey Nagar to CarryMinati?

It was in 2015 when CarryMinati changed his channel’s name from AddictedA1 to CarryDeol. During this time, he would upload gameplay of the famous game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. He would mimic Sunny Deol to add a comic element to his videos.

Later he changed it to CarryMinati.

Ajey Nagar alias CarryMinati talked to Outlook India about how he came up with the name. The prefix “Carry” is a term used commonly in games like Counter-Strike. It is referred to the player who leads or ‘carries’ the team.

The second half of the name Minati is taken from the so-called secret society “Illuminati.”

People who believe in conspiracy theories argue that Illuminati is a secret group of powerful people, who further control all celebrities and politicians.

In the same interview, CarryMinati also revealed the reason why he started making YouTube videos at such a young age. The roaster said that he would find it hard to express himself as a child. “I went from invisible to being widely recognized,” he added.
