New Delhi: Ever since her engagement with AAP Leader Raaghav Chaddha, Bollywood diva Parineeti Chopra has been under constant spotlight with the fans looking forward to her wedding with her collage time love interest.
As per sources, Bollywood’s newest couple that have been recently engaged with each other are likely to tie knot during the fall of this year.
As the love birds come from poles apart backgrounds, fans are avidly debating about the jaw-dropping differences in the couple’s net worth.
These ongoing speculations amongst the fans provide us with a perfect opportunity to throwback to 2017 when Parineeti was caught red-handed lying about her family being financially unstable during her childhood days.
Parineeti’s ‘Poverty’
The actress who was attending an event alongside Akshay Kumar spoke about her family’s vulnerable financial status and the difficult days she had to see because of the same.
Talking about having to face hardships while growing up, the actress claimed about paddling to school by cycle as her financially weak family couldn’t afford a car at the time.
The actress further went on to say that in order to ensure she doesn’t have to face any sort of eve teasing, her father often had to accompany her on the way to school.
“My family didn’t even have enough money to enroll me in the self-defense classes.”, Said the actress.
Parineeti caught in lies
However, the actress’s claims regarding facing poverty were short-lived as one of her classmates from Jesus and Mary school took to Facebook and unveiled the truth.

Within hours, Khanoo’s post regarding Parineeti’s claims went viral on social media where many were seen trolling the actress for her made-up struggle stories.
Parineeti backtracks
After facing harsh criticism due to her classmate’s remarks, the 32-year-old actress had to come up with an explanation saying that her statements are being misconstrued in some places.

Interestingly, despite Parineeti’s clarification, many were seen leaning towards her classmate’s views instead as they supported his claims regarding Pari coming home with her family in a luxury car.
One user also wrote ‘the media should ask her about how right after her school, her family became rich enough to send her to London for studies?”
“Yeah so true, she was indeed well off”, wrote another while claiming to be her Neighbor.
