When the Phone Rings OTT Release: The Korean Mystery Drama ‘When the Phone Rings’ is all set to arrive in the OTT Platforms on 22 November on Netflix. The series will air every Friday and Saturday at 21.50 (KST).
Plot
The story of the series follow the life of a couple who is living their life in a long-distance relationship. The couple hasn’t spoken to each other in the past 3 years and their lives turn upside down when they receive a phone call from a kidnapper.
The Husband hails from a prominent Political family and is the youngest Presidential Spokesperson. Meanwhile the wife is a sign-language interpretor who has lost her voice due to depression.
The Streaming Platform also shared the promo of the show, the trailer begins with a voice-over in the background in which the woman is heard saying ‘I think my husband wants me dead’.
And in the next scene, the woman is seen driving in a car and suddenly she meets with an accident, on the other side the man is seen speaking on call asking did you confirm the body? I want her dead and call me when you see the body.
The second part shows flash backs of the married couple’s life in which the couple is seen enjoying quality time with each other. The scene flips to the man thinking about his wife cheating him.
The couple is seen struggling on many fronts, in their romantic relationship and also trust issues. The Korean drama is full of emotions, suspense, drama and mystery.
About the Star Cast
The series is directed by Park Sang-woo, Wi Deuk-gyu and the star cast features Yoo-Yeon-Seok, Chae-Soo-Bin in pivotal roles.
