New Delhi: A video featuring popular social media icon Elvish Yadav brutally thrashing Sagar Thakur, better known as Aka Maxtern, is currently doing rounds all across the internet. In the rapidly circulating viral footage, Elvish, accompanied by a dozen guys, is seen beating the YouTuber inside a Gurgaon Gym.
According to the reports, the physical showdown between Elvish and Sagar unfolded after a verbal clash that took place between these two celebrated influencers on social media a few days back. Elvish’s ugly banter with Sagar has now left netizens curious to know about the former as well as the entire controversy that got him assaulted mercilessly by the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner.

For those who don’t know, Sagar Thakur is an acclaimed YouTuber who is currently enrolled at the IIT Kharagpur campus. His main YouTube channel has a decent subscriber base of 1.67 Million people with whom Thakur keeps sharing several sarcastic and educational content on a regular basis.
Besides this, Sagar also runs a dedicated YouTube channel ‘Maxtern’ where he uploads content related to tech and gaming. Speaking of Sagar’s fame on Instagram, the 26 year-old enjoys a massive fan following of 935K followers on his official Instagram handle.

It all started when Elvish Yadav, who recently participated in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), bonded with popular stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui who was also participating in the cricketing contest. Besides Elvish and Munawar several prominent figures from the sports and entertainment industry like Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, Akshay Kumar & Robbie Utthappa were also a part of the star-studded League.

However, Elvish’s bromance with the Bigg Boss 17 winner didn’t go well with many of his followers who started trolling him for the same. Calling the YouTuber a hypocrite, a huge section of netizens came down heavily on him for supporting the same Munaawar who once faced the heat for cracking jokes about Lord Rama and Goddess Sita despite claiming to be a Ram Bhakt himself.

While Elvish was already receiving backlash all over social media over his friendliness with Munawar, Sagar also didn’t miss a chance to add fuel to the fire and uploaded an entire video on the topic. In his video, he not only made fun of Elvish but also openly called the YouTuber a hypocrite. As the internet war between the two YouTubers further escalated, Thakur then allegedly decided to meet Elvish in person and they finally faced each other at 12:30 AM on March 8 in a shop situated in Gurgaon, Haryana.

After the duo’s meetup, Sagar not only made several grave allegations against Elvish Yadav but also accused the Youtuber of giving him death threats. In order to back his statements, he also shared CCTV footage that saw Elvish and a few other men physically assaulting him inside the Shop premises.

FIR & Elvish’s befitting Replies
Soon after Sagar’s video went viral, the internet lashed out against Elvish Yadav for attacking Thakur & demanded strict legal action against him for the same. This led to Gurugam Police’s booking swinging into action as they booked the Youtuber under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav, in an attempt to reply to Sagar as well as all his critics, uploaded a 13-minute-long video in which he explained the story from his side & requested netizens not to judge him based on Sagar’s fabricated story. He explained how Sagar pre-planned the entire situation & even threatened to burn his parents alive during their meetup.
Revealing the reason behind beating Sagar, The BB OTT fame further said that he only got physical after the former made several provoking remarks against his parents and family. However, he also apologized for hitting Sagar with the hope that people would try to understand his point as well.
