Why Brahmastra is more likely to steal the show at box office against Vikram Vedha?

The circumstances make it a further difficult job for one to predict the future of these movies at the box office

New Delhi: Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra and Vikram Vedha created by Puskhar–Gayathri duo might not see a direct face off at the box office, but both are highly anticipated Hindi movies set to grace the theatres in the ongoing month of September.

With both the films being involved in controversies of their own, both are equally being targeted by the ‘boycott brigade’ holding the celebrities accountable for their previous remarks against one’s faith or country’s integrity while calling fellow citizens for a complete boycott of the films in question.

And hence, the circumstances make it a further difficult job for one to predict the future of these movies at the box office.

However, mythological drama Brahmastra is likely to perform better in terms of box office collection against Vikram Vedha for some of the obvious reasons despite both the films being made with a big budget and consists of some of  Bollywood’s top notch stars.

Here’s Why

While Brahmastra is set to release with a fresh content as well a distinct concept for a Bollywood film, Vikram Vedha is a remake of the 2017 hit Tamil movie by the same name featuring pan India stars R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupati.

If that’s not enough, the Tamil language Vikram Vedha is already streaming on multiple OTT platforms including YouTube for last two years and its Hindi dubbed version is quite popular among the Hindi belt.

There seem hardly any chance audience would prefer to visit the multiplexes to watch a already known content just with the different actors in it.

Previously, we have seen the faith of Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer Jersey, which happens to be a exact same remake of 2019 Telugu sport drama by the same name, with simply no space for creativity.

The original Jersey was a massive hit even amongst the Hindi audience, while the remake proved to be a significant failure at the box office.

Akshay Kumar’s recently released Cuttputlli met with the same fortune which is a Hindi remake of 2018 crime thriller of Ratsasan, hailed as one of the finest Tamil film in the genre.
