Woman of the Dead Season 2 OTT Release: “Woman of the Dead” (German: “Totenfrau”) is an Austrian-German crime thriller series that premiered on Netflix on January 5, 2023. The show is an adaptation of Bernhard Aichner’s 2014 novel of the same name.
The second season of this crime thriller will be streaming in March on Netflix.

Plot
The series starts in a seemingly tranquil Austrian town, surrounded by breathtaking snow-covered mountains. Brünhilde Blum, known as Blum, runs a small family-owned funeral home.
Despite her work dealing with death daily, she has a loving family life with her husband, Mark, a dedicated police officer, and their two children.
Blum is strong and independent, but there are subtle hints that something lurks beneath the surface of her life. The town, with its serene beauty, hides dark secrets—something Blum is unaware of at first.
One morning, Mark leaves home to go to work, riding his motorcycle down a winding mountain road. However, just minutes after departing, he is struck and killed in what appears to be a tragic hit-and-run accident.
The news shatters Blum’s world. She rushes to the scene and is overcome with grief. The police investigated but treated it as an unfortunate accident. They offer little hope for justice. Friends and family console her, but something doesn’t sit right with Blum.
Her instincts scream that Mark’s death was not random. Shortly after Mark’s funeral, Blum discovers that Mark had been investigating something dangerous before he died. She receives a cryptic phone call from an unknown woman who seems distressed and claims to have vital information regarding Mark. However, before Blum can learn more, the call is abruptly cut off.
Determined to uncover the truth, Blum looks into her husband’s last days. She finds unsettling clues in his belongings, including a hidden phone number and notes that hint at something sinister within the town.
As she digs deeper, she realizes that Mark may have stumbled upon a dark conspiracy involving some of the town’s most influential figures. Her search for answers leads her to people who appear respectable on the surface but hide monstrous secrets beneath.
