New Delhi: In Marvel’s X-Men ’97 animated series, the titular mutant heroes return to their heroic past, where they use their enigmatic abilities to protect the planet.

As the studio shifts to prioritizing quality over quantity, audiences will get to see the second MCU production of the year. Marvel Cinematic Universe takes a nostalgic look at the mutants and their planet in its second Disney+ series of the year. The upcoming X-Men ’97 series, which will include fan favourites like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and Wolverine—is sure to be a hit with audiences.

Plot

X-Men ’97, a sequel to the original series, will be the first MCU production to fully explore the mutant subculture.

Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, and a plethora of other characters will finally get their due in the series, which is reportedly not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon now. Fans old and new may look forward to exciting plots featuring villains like Mr. Sinister and Magneto.

The story will centre on the mutant argument, and it will adhere to the time-honoured formula of using metaphors to highlight issues that are prevalent in the actual world, such as racism, inequality, and other issues.

Superheroes from the ’90s are making a triumphant comeback, complete with all your favourite characters and exciting new stories voiced by their original creators. On March 20, 2024, the pilot and second episode of the series will be released. Disney Plus Hotstar is where viewers can see the show. The report states that on March 27, 2024, the third episode of the ten-part series will be released.

Cast and Crew

Marvel Studios Animation and Beau DeMayo collaborated on the American animated television series X-Men ’97.

Voice roles for new characters have been filled by several actors from the original series, including Jennifer Hale, Alison Sealy-Smith, Cal Dodd, Ray Chase, AJ LoCascio, George Buza, Lenore Zann, JP Karliak, and many more.
