Year Ender 2021: These B’wood movies were huge flop on OTTs this year

Now that the year is about to end, we want to remind you of some such films which completely failed to make an impact.

New Delhi: The year 2021 has been a disaster for Bollywood in various ways. As cinema halls and multiplexes were shut since March in the second wave of Corona, many films had to be released on OTT.

But even on the digital front, these films had to face huge failure. Many films released this year were neither in the heart nor in the mind of the audience, overall, they were faded.

Now that the year is about to end, we want to remind you of some such films which completely failed to make an impact.

Here’s a list of five such Bollywood movies that we have selected as per their IMDb ratings: 

1. Radhe

The film Radhe comes first in this list.

Even Superstar Salman Khan’s starrer did not help the film to make an impact and it was proved to be an unexpected disaster on the OTT as well. The film, which released on Eid, could only get a rating of 1.9 out of 10 on IMDb.

2. Hungama 2 

Shilpa Shetty made her comeback to the screen after a long time as well as her OTT debut with this film.

Even after remaking the throwback hit song ‘Chura Ke Dil Tera’ featuring Shilpa, the film was not much appreciated. Many memes related to the film went viral, although Rajpal Yadav’s comedy was appreciated by the audience, but it earned only 3.1 out of 10 rating on IMDb. 

3. Sardar Ka Grandson

Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh had collaborated for this drama for the first time, though the film did not perform well in terms of content. Even the amazing Neena Gupta failed to captivate the audience in the role of Dadi. The film could only earn a rating of 4.2 out of 10 on IMDb.

4. Roohi 

d StreHardik Mehta directorial horror comedy Roohi could not create a magic like that of  previously releasee. The film starred  Rajkummar Rao, Jhanvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in lead roles. But due to its weak story-line, it got 4.3 out of 10 rating on IMDb. 

5. The Girl On the Train

The film featuring Parineeti Chopra and Aditi Rao Hydari was a remake of the superhit Hollywood film of the same name. Despite being released on the streaming giant Netflix, the film went through without much attention and received only 4.4 out of 10 rating on IMDb.
