Zeenat Aman to make a comeback with Manish Malhotra’s “Bun Tikki”

New Delhi: Fashion designer Manish Malhotra, famous for creating iconic outfits for Bollywood films, is venturing into film production to celebrate his thirty years in the industry. He recently launched his production company, Stage 5 Productions, and revealed his intentions to produce three new movies.

Manish Malhotra’s ‘Bun Tikki’

Manish Malhotra announced on Instagram that he will be producing a new movie called “Bun Tikki”. It will start filming in November 2023 and will feature Bollywood actresses Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi, who haven’t acted together in a while. Abhay Deol will also star in the film, which is being directed by Faraz Arif Ansari. The movie will be produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Dinesh Malhotra, and Marijke Desouza under their new company. Stage 5 Productions and JioStudios are also involved in the project.

Malhotra, who previously worked as a costume designer, has now become a film producer and director. He has a deep passion for clothes, colors, and films, and is dedicated to promoting diverse stories through his production company. One of his upcoming projects is a movie about the renowned actress Meena Kumari, with Kriti Sanon playing the lead role. Malhotra is also working on another film called ‘Bun Tikki’, which aims to showcase unique stories and support emerging talent in the film industry.

Earlier this year, Malhotra announced his directorial debut with a biopic on Meena Kumari and shared his journey from costume designing to launching his own production house on Instagram. He is committed to nurturing diverse artistic voices and presenting a range of stories through his work.

The designer-turned-producer has plans to make a movie about Meena Kumari and ‘Bun Tikki’. They want to tell new stories in cinema, starting with helping new talent and showing interesting stories.
