New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched a scathing attack on Asaduddin Owaisi for visiting Aurangzeb’s tomb in Aurangabad on May 13, where he offered tributes to the Mughal ruler.
While talking on ‘Frankly Speaking’ with Navika Kumar, he said that why would anyone go and pay tribute on Aurangzeb’s mazar (tomb).
“Today you will visit Aurangzeb’s mazar, tomorrow you will say that you want to go and visit the mazar of the Al-Qaeda’s.”
”Only if he is your father go and visit his mazar…”
“Why would someone take inspiration from Aurangzeb, he destroyed the nation. ” ”Where do you want to take the nation?”
He called Akbaruddin Owaisi’s visit to Aurangzeb’s tomb as ‘provocation.’
He also recalled the incident that was imposed by Aurangzeb and how the women, daughters and others had to undergo his torture.
This is not the first time that Assam CM has spoken about Aurangzeb and his life.
Earlier, he had said that a day will come where names of Babur, Aurangzeb, and Nizam cannot live long.
The history of India says that Babur, Aurangzeb, and Nizam cannot live long. I am sure that the legacy of Nizam will come to a complete halt and a new culture based on Indian civilization will emerge: Assam CM and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma in Warangal, Telangana pic.twitter.com/n3WrLAync6
