New Delhi: Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the people of Delhi for this win and thanked them for bringing change.
Arvind Kejriwal said he now wants the cooperation of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress to work for Delhi.
He appealed to the Centre and asked for PM Modi’s blessings to make Delhi better.
Kejriwal said now they have to make MCD corruption-free.
He further said, with MCD Results where AAP gained a majority, the people of Delhi have given a message to the entire nation.
Delhi CM further said the existing system of “corruption and bribery” in MCD will have to come to an end.

After the mandate was announced today, Delhi CM and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann addressed the party workers as AAP crossed the majority mark to win the MCD elections.

With AAP winning the MCD polls, it has also ended BJP’s civic body in Delhi since 2007.
After the fresh delimitation exercise, this was the first civic election. There were 272 wards in Delhi and three corporations – EDMC, SDMC, and NDMC in Delhi from 2012-2022 that were later reunified into an MCD and it formally came into existence on May 22.
