AAP’s Raghav Chadha mocked by BJP over encounter with crow outside Parliament

During the ongoing Monsoon session at the Parliament, Raghav Chadha was caught on camera speaking on the phone when a crow flew past him.

The bird appeared to peck at the MP’s head, prompting a swift reaction as he dodged the avian encounter.

New Delhi: A viral image of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha seemingly being attacked by a crow outside the Parliament has sparked online chatter.

During the ongoing Monsoon session at the Parliament, Raghav Chadha was caught on camera speaking on the phone when a crow flew past him. The bird appeared to peck at the MP’s head, prompting a swift reaction as he dodged the avian encounter.

In response to the incident, the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) shared the photo on social media, taking a playful jab at Raghav Chadha with the well-known Hindi saying, ‘jhooth bole kauwa kaate’ (if you tell lies, a crow will peck you).

The Delhi BJP’s posthumously read, “Till today, we only heard it. Today, we have seen the crow bite the liar.”

Adding to the light-hearted exchange, BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga also shared the photo and commented on the incident, “My heart is very distressed by the news of the attack by a crow on Honorable MP Raghav Chadha ji. Hope you are in good health.”

Meanwhile, the government is bracing itself for a no-confidence motion tabled by the Opposition parties, as Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla accepted the motion.

The Opposition has been urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the House and provide a statement on the ethnic violence in Manipur.

The government has expressed readiness for a discussion, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah slated to address Parliament. However, this proposal was rejected by the Opposition parties, leading to the brewing no-confidence motion.
