New Delhi: A case has been registered in connection with the protest held outside the Indian High Commission in London on March 19 by the Delhi Police, said officials on Friday.
The Special Cell registered the case under the Indian Penal Code, UAPA, and PDPP Act. This comes after the Ministry of Home Affairs asked Delhi Police to take appropriate legal action in this matter.
Officials said that Special Cell has started the investigation into this matter which includes “unlawful activities” which was carried out by certain persons holding Indian nationality abroad.
On Sunday, the Khalistani elements attempted to pull down the Indian flag from the Indian High Commission in London amid pro-Khalistani slogans and chants.

Also, India summoned the British deputy high commissioner and asked for an explanation over the complete “absence of security”.
