New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday took a mischievous jibe at the Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and advised him to take some ‘chill’.
Tweeting from personal handle, Kejriwal wrote, “LG Sahab scolds me so much every day that even my wife wouldn’t match that level.”
“In past 6 months, the L-G sahib has written many love letters to me. My wife hasn’t written that much to me in entire life,” CM Kejriwal further said.
AAP national convenor’s jibe at the Delhi LG comes at a time when the ties between the two are being increasingly driven by antagonism and ‘growing dislike’ for each other.

AAP government and LG Saxena have been at loggerheads ever since the latter gave nod for probe into allegations of financial fraud in allotting liquor licenses to private operators. The probe team has already questioned many senior leaders of Delhi govt including Deputy CM Manish Sisodia who is facing heat over ‘faulty’ excise policy.
Following LG’s nod for liquor policy probe, the AAP leaders also launched blistering attack on the former and accused him of wrongdoing during his stint as chairman of Khadi & Village Industries (KVIC).
Recently, the LG Saxena had written to the Delhi CM over his absence at Raj Ghat on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. He had also flagged the matter of ‘red tapism’ to CM, in granting permissions for key developmental projects.
BJP hits out at CM Kejriwal
Taking strong exception to Kejriwal’s tweet, a couple of BJP leaders took turns to slam the Chief Minister for his insulting remarks on the LG.
Taking to Twitter, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari lambasted the Delhi CM for ‘not taking’ any responsibility in 7 years of governance but not leaving a chance to score political points.
