Amid Gyanvapi row, old VIDEO of Shringar Gauri worshipping inside complex surfaces

While the debate rages over findings of survey inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex, a new video has surfaced where the devotees & priests can be seen worshipping the Goddess Shrinagar Gauri.

New Delhi: While the debate rages over findings of survey inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex, an old video has surfaced on the social media where the devotees & priests can be seen worshipping the Goddess Shrinagar Gauri.

In the viral video, the Hindu priests can be seen offering flowers & prayers at the Goddess Shringar Gauri inside the mosque complex.

This video is reportedly of April last year in which priests can be seen offering prayers. Hindu side claims that this is not just a wall but the starting point of holy place and the actual temple existed inside the structure which was demolished by invaders.

Even today, prayers are offered at the temple once a year. Five Hindu women filed a petition in Varanasi court sometime ago and sought permission for worshipping Goddess Shringar Gauri throughout the year and not just once a year. It was this petition which paved the way for videography survey of Gyanvapi mosque complex.

Hindu side claimed that there are many religious symbols & ruined structures inside the mosque complex, pictures of which also appeared on social media and gave credence to these claims.

The fresh twist to the controversy is set to escalate the argument between two sides as this comes as vindication of what the Hindu side has been claiming.

The matter remains at the center of controversy as Hindu side has been persisting with claim that the mosque was built on the remains on Vishwanath temple and therefore till today, devotees are allowed access to the disputed site for paying obeisance once a year. Muslim side have been in denial mode and contested this claim in court.
