Amit Shah shares animated video, showing how PM Modi made Gujarat self-sufficient in water

Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday shared an animated video showing how the careful planning, vision & consistent work over the years has turned Gujarat ‘water-rich’.

New Delhi: Politicking has picked up momentum ahead of two-phase Assembly elections in Gujarat. Political parties ranging from AAP to Congress are lambasting the BJP government for alleged inadequacies & follies in governance while the latter has accused rivals of raking up trivial issues just for political gains.

Gujarat remains the biggest bastion of BJP and the party hasn’t shied away from trumpeting its growth model in other states. The recent declaration of Gujarat as 100% Har Ghar Jal state has been one of the biggest achievements under incumbent Bhupendra Patel govt.

However, the seeds of this initiative to make Gujarat self-sufficient in water was laid almost 2 decades ago, when the state was staring at serious water crisis.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday shared an animated video showing how the careful planning, vision & consistent work over the years has turned Gujarat ‘water-rich’.

Tweeting the video, Amit Shah wrote that due to vision & efforts of then CM Narendra Modi, Gujarat state has achieved the distinction of being Har Ghar Jal state.

He also said that it is essential especially for the young generation to watch and become aware of how this transformation was brought about under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

Just weeks ago, Gujarat Minister of State (MoS) for Home Harsh Sanghavi announced that the state has been declared 10% Har Ghar Jal state, which means that every household in urban as well as rural areas have access to tap water.
